ECB Bancorp, Inc. is a bank holding company headquartered in Engelhard, North Carolina, whose wholly-owned subsidiary, The East Carolina Bank (ECB) is a state chartered, independent, community bank founded in 1919. ECB is a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, the American Bankers Association, the Independent Community Bankers of America, and the North Carolina Bankers Association.

Today the bank is a financial leader in eastern North Carolina operating with over 230 employees servicing 13 counties with 25 full-service branch locations and customers throughout the state via internet banking. The bank’s footprint ranges from the North Carolina and Virginia state line to the North Carolina and South Carolina state line; and with locations as far west as Greenville, and extending east to the Outer Banks.

ECB Bancorp, Inc.'s common stock is listed on the NYSE Amex under the symbol "ECBE."
